Dawn Perez, LPC, NCC
Dawn Perez is licensed in the state of Virginia as and Professional Counselor (LPC). She is also a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). She was born in California and traveled the world as a daughter of a military officer. She graduated with a B.A. in Social Science and completed a degree in Computer Science. She spent the beginning of her career in the Information Technology industry while raising a family. Her empathy and ability to hear personal, difficult and sometimes painful stories encouraged her to learn better strategies to support those in need. She turned her career toward the helping field and received her M.A. in Counseling from Argosy University (formerly Washington College of Psychology and Behavioral Science) in 2010.
Dawn’s experience in the field of biofeedback/neurofeedback therapy began in 2005. Since then she has worked using numerous technologies to provide training for clients with a variety symptoms ranging from depression, anxiety and attention issues to migraines, pain and learning disabilities.
“I have found it extremely helpful to embrace a systems approach to the healing process. Balancing the systems of the brain and body are integral to the success of wellbeing. Neurofeedback works by training the brain and body with rewards. My goal for all of our clients is for them to live life to the fullest.”
